Flying high – how geophysics can help with finding water in Cobar area

Cobar township, hub to pastoralists and mining, has little room for growth due to its’ limited water supply but the region has two types of palaeochannel systems that are prospective for water. The location and water quality of these potential sources can be identified through the electromagnetic signal from the Cobar Airborne Electromagnetic Dataset from Geological Survey of NSW.
